We spent the weekend in San Diego so Dog Mom is a bit late with my post but we got some great stuff!!
We started out in Pacific Beach. We thought we booked a pet friendly hotel right at the beach… oops not pet friendly so we spent a night and then had to move.
They were very kind to us and didn’t charge us for the cancellation and we got to take a walk on the beach!!
We moved up to the Del Mar area so we got to hang out at Dog Beach in Del Mar!
Dog Mom was trying to get some video for the blog and asked Dog Dad to get me to run with him like I’d been doing earlier…
Wait for it, I’m there, but not cooperating….
I finally decided to help them out…..
Then I got caught in a wave. Dog Mom and Dad were so scared she didn’t get any video but you can see the after effects.
Thanks for the embarrassing video Dog Mom!
I’m not the only one who got caught in a wave. My cousin Skya did as well, you can just see her Husky head in the wave.
Good thing was she was coming into a jetty and not out to sea and she got out, on her own, right after the picture.
The water was PAWfectly still when she got in…
We then went to our friends house. They have a fur friend for me named Zoomer and a new puppy named Winter. I decided to take a break in Winter’s crate. It surprised Dog Mom & Dad cause I’m usually not fond on crates….
Dog Mom took a picture with her friends
On Saturday Dog Mom & Dad went to their friends wedding and I stayed with Grandma Doggy Daycare
We spent more time at the beach on Sunday but will include those in next weeks Snapshot Sundays!
I’ll leave you with a picture of the sunrise from our home in Exeter California!
How was your weekend?
Wonderful pics, I only wish Layla would like the beach but she hates getting her paws wet BOL
Waves are scary. Glad you’re OK! Mr. N also spends a good amount of time running away from them on the beach.
Waves are fun and spooky all at the same time! These pics are wonderful – and it looks like you had a great time, plus you got a little grandma time!!
That was nice that the hotel didn’t charge you for the cancellation! Overall it sounds like a great weekend! I wish we lived near the beach.
Those are great photos! I would have freaked out about the waves too. It looks as if you had a great weekend. ☺
Looks like a great weekend and wonderful beach for the dogs to play.
Oh I’m terribly jealous – That beach trip looks outstanding – I can feel the sun through the photos and we are so ready for summer!
That looks like a fun (and memorable) weekend! We would love to visit that area some day.
I love San Diego! It’s our favorite place to visit. Last year we took our dogs (long drive from Denver) but so worth it! The dogs love the ocean as much as we do!
Looks like lots of fun! I hope to take Simba to the beach one day 🙂
WOW, these are beautiful pics!!!
Wow, beautiful pictures. Looks like everyone had a fun time.
What a fun trip and lovely photos.
My dogs have never seen the ocean…one day, I hope (we’re only 90 miles away in Virginia)! Beautiful photos and adorable dog!
We’ll look forward to watching for the pictures of their 1st beach day!!
Why does the weekend fly by? I love these images. Looks like you had a great one. We had nice weather to head to the park today.
Glad you’ve had some better weather out there!! We need more rain….
Looks like a great trip. Mom Paula was in Vegas this past week, but we couldn’t go with her.
I bet she missed you though! ~Shasta
Oh what a fun weekend! Hopefully we’ll be able to take a few of the girls down there on a trip… maybe take a trip to the beach after a dog show!
You’ll have to let us know. Maybe we can meet IRL
Besutiful photos, & adorable video! How was there such a misunderstanding about your hotel being dog friendly?? That’s always my fear, that we’ll arrive & be told they aren’t dog friendly after all or they gave away our dog friendly room. Dog Beach in Del Mar, how fabulous! I’ve been dying to go there, hope we make it soon.
Love & biscuits,
Dogs Luv Us and We Luv Them
In all honesty, not to throw him under the bus, but the lesson learned is…. if your using something like Hotels.com don’t do it from your cell phone… BOL! My hubby booked from his cell phone and requested a filter of pet friendly so he thought he had booked pet friendly. We were lucky they were so kind and didn’t charge us the late cancelation fee!! You can ensure this doesn’t happen by calling the hotel as soon as you book to confirm. 😉 Hum… maybe I’ll have to do a post…
